Understand startup and synchronization progress
Verifying stored blocks, replaying ledger state and downloading new blocks are different stages. A slow stage alone does not prove that data is corrupt.
- Applies to
- Daedalus 11.0.0 · mainnet
- Platform scope
- Windows, macOS, Linux · OS release compatibility is not established by this guide.

Before you begin
- Use the genuine application and keep private backups private.
Steps
- Note the phase shown on screen and whether progress changes over time.
- Check Diagnostics for node status, synchronization, available disk space and time status. Record the Daedalus version and your operating system.
- If progress remains unchanged, contact support with the phase, elapsed time and any exact error. Do not delete blockchain or wallet data as a generic fix.
Expected result
You can describe the stalled stage to staff without changing wallet files. There is no guaranteed synchronization time in the checked source.
Consequences and precautions
- Changing or approving wallet operations can affect funds.
If you cannot continue safely
- Stop if unsure; contact human support before changing wallet data.
Keep your wallet safe
- Never disclose recovery phrases, seed words, private keys or spending passwords.
- Do not delete, reset or move wallet data using generic instructions.
When to contact support
- The symptom persists after the safe diagnostic steps, or funds appear at risk.
